The Diesel Specialties family of businesses were started by Fred and Fran Schroeter in 1964 to perform service and warranty work on diesel injection pumps, injectors, and turbos.

Over the years, our family business grew from one small location to as many as 6 different locations across the Midwest. Throughout that time, Fred and Fran always treated their customers the way they wanted to be treated… with respect and a commitment to the best service possible. We follow those same values today.

Currently, we have Central Fuel Injection in Estherville, IA, and Diesel Specialties of Omaha in Omaha, NE. Both businesses operate under the ownership of Fred and Fran's children, Amy and Erik Schroeter.

As the industries and markets have changed, the Schroeter family knew that our businesses would also have to change. Consequently, in June of 2026 we launched Great Plains Mahindra , and became a Mahindra USA dealership serving Estherville, and other locations such as Spencer, Fairmont, Clay County, Dickenson County and the rest of Emmet County.

Great Plains Mahindra is happy, and excited, to offer a full range of tractors ranging from 15hp to 75hp. In addition to the tractors, we offer the ROXOR UTV manufactured by Mahindra. Over the coming months we plan to offer different attachments and implements for the tractors, as well as accessories for the ROXOR UTV.
